Ford Escape gets inspired from the Vertrek concept.

Ford has launched the brand new 2013 Ford Escape (Kuga for Europe and China) that had its world-premiere debut at Los Angeles Auto Show this month. The 2012 Escape draws most of its design from the Vertrek concept, unveiled at the 2011 Detroit Auto Show. Based on the car maker, the newest Escape offers several options that are not offered on other compact SUVs, one of them is the hands-free power liftgate.

The new car has aerodynamic styling with a sloping roof-line, a prominent grille and a spoiler to the tailgate. It’s important to mention the active front grille, whose active blades, opens to allow air flowing only when needed then closes to improving the drag coefficient. But that’s not all, in fact features shows a big hood and 17 ” alloy wheels. What’s happening inside? The cockpit is really improved with quality materials, while the trunk can manage 971 liters of luggage which reach to 1,927 liters when the rear seats are folded.
