2011 Saab 9-3 Griffin facelift

Saab 9-3 Griffin is the new facelift of the 9-3 previously announced. The new car has been already shown at the recent 2011 Geneva Motor Show with aesthetic changes, new trim, as well as optimized engines. The new Saab 9-3 Griffin, will have its market in many European car showrooms from next month and as Sport Sedan, SportCombi, Convertible and 9-3X.

DESIGN: The Saab 9-3 Griffin stands for the new front bumper with trapezoidal air intake in relief and the Griffin logo on sides of front fenders. 16″ alloy wheels are available for entry-level and 18 ” for Aero variants, but on catalogue are also listed as 17 and 19 inches. The headlights also derive from the Aero X. Behind, instead of the Griffin logo, there is the stylized word “Saab” and a small spoiler on the edge of the boot for all the Sport Sedan.

ENGINES: a 2.0 BioPower Petrol and bioethanol E85 with 163 or 220 hp are direct-injection, variable valve timing and turbocharger. With these features mentioned above, the Saab 9-3 Griffin has reduced power consumption by an average of 4%. While the turbo 1.9 with 130, 160 and 180 HP is the same as before. The drive is on the front wheels or full XWD combined with 6-speed manual gearbox or automatic.
